Back during the 80s I witnessed the arrest of a punk who claimed that he was a Vietnam veteran. When the officers looked at his driver's license, they did the math, and realized he would have been twelve when we pulled out. I was told it was a common ruse.
Recently I have witnessed two other incidents, one involving law enforcement, where punks claimed to be soldiers who served in Iraq and weren't. One was someone who was in the guard and didn't reenlist when he saw the war comming, the only military experience the other one had was a short haircut.
I have no idea of what to do with these punks, we have raised a generation that except for a handfull is completely useless. If you don't know what I am talking about, go to the mall one Saturday afternoon and open your eyes.
